Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to use speaker and microphone as a transceiver and receiver. Can some one point a source of information. Can you adjust simulink to use particular hardware peripheral device.

Yes (if you can bear to listen to the 'noise' when you are using it :) )
For starters, you can look at two Data Acquisition Toolbox demos:
