From: Dave on 24 Feb 2010 05:02 Hi, I have setup and installed the Hyper V on a Windows Server, created a virtual machine and installed the os. I can not get the virtual machine to connect to the network, I have followed some notes on setting up a network card but it wont connect to my network at all. Any ideas.

You might want to check that possibility out. Also verify that you have a network adapter dedicated for VM use, and that the type of network you created is external. The best documentation source is in the Windows Server 2008 R2 Technical Library: Hyper-V at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753637(WS.10).aspx The Hyper-V Getting Started guide also has a topic on virtual networks named "Step 4: Configuring virtual networks." Take a look at this blog to get an overview of how networks get configured with Hyper V. It's not intuitive. http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2008/01/08/understanding-networking-with-hyper-v.aspx "Dave" <Dave(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:64DB465B-1D37-4A84-9583-4E5C15D892BB(a)microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I have setup and installed the Hyper V on a Windows Server, created a > virtual machine and installed the os.
