I need some help with the Microsoft on my labtop. I tryed typing in Microsoft
Word and letters appear on the bottom left coner of my screen "This
modification is not allowed because the selection is locked" what does it
mean? Please I need help as soon as anyone gets this message!

It means either:

- Your copy of Office was a limited-time trial version that has
expired, and now you need to pay for a license if you want to continue
to use it.

OR

- You have a separately purchased retail version, but you haven't
activated it, so after 50 uses it went into reduced-functionality
mode. Read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/293151.

OR

- If this happens only in one document, and this is Word 2007, you
have accidentally protected your document as a form, and Word will let
you type only in content controls. Go to the Developer tab of the
ribbon (which is visible only if you enable it in the Options dialog)
and click Group > Ungroup.
