I am trying to restore big (8GB) MS SQL databse. There is a Windows 2000
server SP4 with SQL Server SP4. Restore fails with a input in system log:
The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort0, did not respond within the timeout period.

I will try to do this on Virtual Server next week bt maybe someone know how
to correct this o VPC.

I have two virtual disks - one for system and one (D) for database files.
First I placed backup file on my local drive and coneccted through VPC share
functionality. It generated different error that backup is corrupted (I think
it is not because it was done with verify option). Then I copied it to
virtual disk D: and tried to restore. It generated 'timeout' error.
