From: R. Ganesan on 11 Mar 2010 22:45 Dear Sir, I am using windows xp sp2. Recently I upgraded from IE 6.0 to IE 8.0. Since then I am getting 'Generic Host for win32 services needs to close down' often in the midst of browsing. I have avira antivir 9 anid zone alarm 5.0 versions. On getting this error, the internet connection just freezes and I am unable to display the connection status from the taskbar. The connection status windows comes and it immediately disappears. I had zone alarm and antivir on when upgrading to IE8.0. Even installing hotfix kb 894391 does not help resolve this issue. I request your help in this regard. Thanks for all your posts. Yours sincerely, R. GANESAN.
