Hey Robb,
I have got problem here. The problem occurs when you have
the sharepoint 2007 version running and you have your office suit as Office
2003. This basically causes compatibility problem and thus results in
crashing IE. I have then upgraded all the systems to Office 2007 Pro and
'BINGO'. I have never had any problem since 3 weeks now.

Hope this could give you some relief....

Swastik.

This situation is posted all over the net. I did not figure this out,
but found an article that
lead me down the path. It fixed it for me and a client.

The problem appears to be related to Office 2007 sharepoint support.
The same issue appears in SharePoint Designer 2007! I suspect your
issue started after implementing SharePoint designer 2007 or office
2007.

To resolve the problem, you can do the following for sharepoint
designer. I suspect the same applies to office 2007.

1. Open the control panel, and select Add/Remove Programs.

2. Click on Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007 on the list of
installed programs

3. Click on the Change button

4. Select Add or Remove Features, and click on Continue

5. Expand the "Office Tools" option (click on the + )

6. Locate the Windows SharePoint Services Support feature

7. Click the down arrow on the drive Icon and select "Not Available"

8. Select Continue.

9. after completion, click close.

This will uninstall SharePoint support.

Then, reinstall the support!

Do steps 1 through 6,

Then

7. Click the down arrow on the drive Icon and select "Run All From My
Computer"

(Verify both of the options underneath are also selected
automatically)

This will install SharePoint support, and correct the previous issues.

8. Select Continue.

9. after completion, click close.
