From: PD on 22 Apr 2010 10:09 Anytime I try to access Windows Update site at windowsupdate.microsoft.com I get a message that IE has blcked a window offering to run or download default.aspx. No matter if I run it directly or after dowmloading the problam remains all the same. I use IE8 on WinXP Pro.

WinXP SP2 or SP3? Is this a sudden, new problem or...? What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?
