In the past that was very narrowly restricted, but now it's a bit better. On the xplore website I clicked on What can I access? and got the following: You are a member of the following IEEE Societies: IEEE Communications Society IEEE Signal Processing Society Your IEEE membership provides access to: All AbstractPlus records IEEE eBook Classics Full text of the following publications: Distributed Systems Online Potential Magazine Spectrum Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on ASSP Magazine, IEEE Audio and Electroacoustics, IEEE Transactions on Audio, IEEE Transactions on Audio, IRE Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, IEEE Transactions on Audio, Transactions of the IRE Professional Group on Communications Magazine, IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials, IEEE Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Transactions on IRE Professional Group on Audio, Newsletter of the Lightwave Technology, Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE Journal of Signal Processing Letters, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Spectrum, IEEE Speech and Audio Processing, IEEE Transactions on _____________________________________ Note that other publications that are often of interest to me, e.g., Information Theory, Instrumentation, Broadcast, etc., are not available without also joining those societies. I used to belong to the Information Theory society as well, but couldn't justify maintaining three society memberships (since I pay for it myself). The only reason I'm still a member of SPS is Rick's Tips and Tricks column, but it's getting harder to justify. Eric Jacobsen Minister of Algorithms Abineau Communications http://www.abineau.com
