In a 2 node clustered configuration where iis is sitting on local drives, is
possible to access it with single virtual ip address? If yes, how?

Thanks in advance

Hi RG:

I think the group might need some more information, but I am going to give
this a shot anyway. .

Some questions
How are you clustering / load balancing the machines? Network Load
Balancing (NLB) or are you using Windows Clustering?

We use IIS with Network Load Balancing. You can add a virtual IP to a
cluster through the Network Load Balancing Manager.

Add IP to NLB Cluster

Open Network Load Balancing Manager
On Top Menu, Click CLUSTER > CONNECT TO EXISTING
Enter the name of the cluster
Connect
Right click on the cluster name example WEBFARM and click CLUSTER PROPERTIES
Click CLUSTER IP ADDRESSES Tab
Click ADD button
Add new IP
Click OK through the boxes. You should see the new IP on the second server.

hope this helps,
Anthony
