From: Ed on 28 Feb 2007 20:59 Recently our SBS2003 Server has begun logging the following errors hourly: Source Category EventID POP3SVC General 1032 IMAP4SVC General 1032 MSExchangeTransport Routing Engine/Service 1005 MSExchangeTransport Routing Engine/Service 1008 MSExchangeTransport Exchange Store Driver 332 MSExchangeTransport Exchange Store Driver 334 IMAP4SVC General 1044 IMAP4SVC General 1033 POP3SVC General 1044 POP3SVC General 1033 MSExchangeActiveSync OMA Push Categorizer 10302 RPC Proxy Startup 3 DAVEX None 100 These are logged as information but i dont understand why these services are starting if there is never a log of them stopping. Additionaly and i believe is also related the following service stop and must be manually restarted: SMTP, POP3, and IMAP Any help would be greatly appreciated.
From: Ed on 1 Mar 2007 09:33 I mistakenly stated there were no log of the services stopping. In the system log the following occur with the source of Service Control Manager and category None: Event ID: 7031 (IIS Admin Service Terminated) 7034 (IMAP4 Service Terminated) 7034 (FTP Publishing Service Terminated) 7034 (POP3 Service Terminated) 7034 (Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine Service Terminated) 7034 (Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) Service Terminated)
