From: Rob Schneider on 14 May 2010 08:38 Probably best to seek guidance from the gurus about Outlook. They will know how to format data for entry into Outlook Tasks (which I presume which is what you want). All you need to do then is output the required data from Project into Excel, "munge" it into a format ready for import into Outlook. The biggest issue to figure out will be how to format the assignment data so that it can get into Outlook Tasks as you expect. (I must say that I've never seen this work well from the perspective of people. Outlook tasks are a personal thing. To be "thrust" tasks from elsewhere encroaches into their world. It's usually better to give people their assignments as reports from Project and then let them turn them into their Task "to-do" list themselves. This way they can fit in their work with all the other things they do. Just a thought ...) --rms www.rmschneider.com On 14/05/10 13:18, Rui wrote: > Dear Alll > > I don't know if this is the right forum, but i really need an advice. From: Andrew Lavinsky on 14 May 2010 09:08 It's a bit circuitous, but in Project 2010 you could export to a SharePoint task list, and perhaps be able to import those tasks into Outlook (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA100820301033.aspx). I'd have to play with that to see if it indeed would work. Other than that, most people go to a Server based solution to integrate with Outlook - and as Rob pointed out, that's a suboptimal solution until 2010. There're also a number of apparently inexpensive 3rd party apps out on the Web that address this need. Just type Microsoft Project Outlook Tasks into your favorite search engine to see the results. - Andrew Lavinsky Blog: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/epm > Probably best to seek guidance from the gurus about Outlook.
