From: Rajeshwari on 9 Jul 2010 23:02 Hi, What would be the value of Mean Square Error(MSE) for lossless image compression algorithm. some people say it must be zero. is it true? please help to get answer.
From: Aaron Clarke on 9 Jul 2010 23:15 Hi Rajeshwari, The mean square error for a lossless image compression algorithm is indeed zero. This means that the compression algorithm can exactly reconstruct the original image with no errors anything else is called a lossy image compression algorithm.
