MS is in the process of removing newsgroups in favor of using their forums, but some ISP's and news servers(like the one below) don't honor removing groups requests, so the group remains alive even when MS removes it. If your ISP wouldn't carry it, then use this link news://news.aioe.org/microsoft.public.win32.programmer.kernel The above news server is free and doesn't require registration, but have some limitations. See here: http://aioe.org/ Quote: "Each IP address is authorized to post 25 messages per day and the posting rights are suspended for 24 hours if more than three messages are rejected in a day. Each post must be sent to less than four groups (crosspost) and each one can include at most three followup groups. Maximum allowed size is 32 KB per article and 2 KB per header. Only two concurrent connections per IP address are allowed and 400 connections per day are accepted from each IP address."
