How can I stop Outlook 2007 from accepting and saving HUNDREDS of news and
US govt news "flashes" which keep arriving daily? I want NONE of them and
don't know how to make my system reject them.

Perhaps you can check the settings on your Junk e-mail filter!

I highly doubt the "government" is sending these messages.
