Not meals we were worried about. More keeping regular sleep cycles
though hours that others may consider "regular".

Besides, I know of at least a few who scan their calls via answering
machines. Turn the volume down, and you still know it's come in, but
worry about it when it's convenient for you, not them.

The state of your phone isn't going to change the fact that a loved one
is going to die.

I don't mean that to be morbid, but that the phone does not hold some
magical power that dictates the outcome of life.

The world is not going to end if you don't answer it. Or, if the world
IS going to end, your not answering the phone had nothing to do with it.

It is what plenty of other care about with interrupting phone calls.

Much more convenient to stop the bulk of the calls you arent interested in receiving at all.

You may however prefer to be there when that happens etc.

No one ever said it did.

Yes, but you may prefer to do something different if you do answer it.

I've twice been called by the cops and prefer to have been able
to deal with the call immediately, and with the neighbour's call too.

And its much more convenient to take some calls
on the phone than to have to answer the door etc too.

Thanks for that completely superfluous proof of why they keep tossing you in the loony bin.
