The Internet disablement is *NOT* going to happen, too much potential
for litigation. I though, would also like to see some REAL efforts to
regain control in this battle we are losing.

And what recommendation would YOU suggest, when a rootkit has also
likely brought other crimeware into the system on a PER system and/or
network basis, and you have NO IDEA what may or may not cause additional
issues in any given system.
Were it a simple matter of supplying a non-failable cleanup tool or
tools, then we wouldn't be having the millions of infected computers in
the first instance.

That would have to be done by the ISP, not by Microsoft and is done when the subscriber is
found to be a zombie spambot.
