You need to open up the chassis and identify the exact make and model of wireless card inside. As an alternative, you can download and run Unknown Device Identifier from Huntersoft. But the information it provides is a little cryptic, so maybe you're better off simply opening up the system. After that, you should be able to find the right driver to install... Ben Myers

Hi! Find your service tag (if not on the system, look in the BIOS setup utility by pressing F2 at startup) and put it in the Dell support web site. This will tell you what wireless card Dell built the system with. (It makes the assumption that nobody changed it after the system was built.) If you still find that the appropriate drivers do not work, perhaps the card has failed. William |
