Hi all,

Does someone here has been able to install the file DAO350.DLL under
Vista?

When my InnoSetup installation package try to install it the following
error shows up:

c:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX:
DllRegisterServer failed;
code 0x8002801C
Error accessing the OLE Registry.

The file is copied, the registration "seems" to have worked anyway
since my app can be run, but because of this error I cannot be sure of
nothing.

And after many hours of search on the net I found nothing yet!

Since Microsoft has declared this file "Tested and Not Shipping In
Windows Vista" here:

That should mean it can be installed if it was tested!

Hehe! You're wrong! :-) I'm a shareware author developping under XP
and I have to make my installation package works with Vista to
accomodate the poor guys stuck with this os version 1.0 because he
just bought a new computer...

Indeed. I was just looking at upgrading my wife's PC the easy way.
Ie: By buying one, but they all come with Vista pre-installed.
Yikes, not even a SP0.00001 in sight, so i'm not touching that with a
50 foot pole.
I've decided to just figure out what i can stick into a 478 socket
that is much faster than the current 2.4 Celeron and won't fry
anything. :-)
