From: rfdjr1 on 7 Jul 2010 16:01 I have a new system which I had built using an Asus P6X58D Premium motherboard. I'm currently using the Realtek on board audio. If I decided to installl a sound card, would it automatically take over audio duties or do I have to go into the BIOS for the board and disable the Realtek device? Thanks.

You can actually have both working, but if it were me I would uninstall the Realtek stuff, disable it in the bios and then install the new sound card.
