Hello Mark, I am running FP2a. DB2 is stable, but the Bufferpool is very small (STMM will not increase it with the kernel parameters suggested by Infocenter). Thanks for you feedback. -Michel

We have many customers that are using STMM to tune multiple bufferpools and are very happy with the results. I personally, have also run a ton of testing with multiple buffer pools and have not encountered a situation where a system has crashed as a result of the tuning. If you could respond to me directly with your db2diag.log file and your stmm logs (in the stmmlog directory), I can look into both of these situations to see what's going wrong. Thanks, Adam

HI Michel, In your post you said, with infocenter parameters STMM will not increase bufferpools. What are kernel values that we should use to make STMM change the bufferpools? I am having the similar problem - Chandra On Dec 3, 12:37 pm, Michel Esber <mic...(a)us.automatos.com> wrote: > > What fixpack do you have? > > > On DB2 Express-C for 64-bit Linux FP0 (FP2 is now available) I had to > > hardcode all bufferpools to keep it from crashing.
