One thing to note in the posting from the link you provided (i.e. that goes
to the stata list), is the comment on "Phase Forward's Clintrial, from which
views are exported as "domain"-specific SAS datasets that are of readily
digestible sizes even with studies considered "large" by industrial clinical
trial standards."

Interestingly enough, Phase Forward does not use SAS to create these data
sets. Having worked briefly on the conversion, data sets that are in
sas7bdat, xport, and cport format are all created with WPS.
