Erm?

What I was thinking - bearing in mind that I know the audio output
socket is not useful for charging an iPhone/iPod - is that one could use
the normal connector for charging, and use the headphone output socket
feeding an amplifier's line in socket for transmitting the audio signal.

It seems such a simple idea that I didn't think I had to explain it in
full - but it seems that zoara here is rather hard of thinking, so I had
to write it out in full for the poor dear.

But you are lying - as usual. I've caught you out, and now you're just
trying to deny it. Malicious lying git that you are - you just love
winding me up to watch me howl, don't you? Ever thought of getting some
professional help to deal with that morbid obsession you suffer from?

The post you made - quoted below - makes it plain to me that you think
AGC is best done in software; why else specify `you dont want the
hardware messing around with gain'; obviously, that implies very plainly
that you think the AGC should be done in software.

If you didn't mean that, then you would not have used the qualifier
`hardware'.

recording any audio from an outboard mixer or for reliable input, you
dont want the hardware messing round with the gain

Why do you think I didn't understand? You asked what was wrong with
"plain audio cables". I told you, and your comment doesn't change the
problem I have with them.
