Ours seem to be a bit random as to whether they show the internet connection icon too. The router is a Buffalo. (Also, using a spare router as a wireless bridge we get two LAC icons as well.) I'd say, just as long as you are getting your web pages, it's not worth worrying about. You can check your speed via Internet Frog, or similar. S

I agree it isn't a real problem and I have been getting the speed through CNET Believe or not as I typed this I noticed that the icon has reappeared!! Problem solved for the moment! Regards Blair
