From: barbara.korte on 16 Apr 2007 16:56 Hi, I am trying to upgrade a sharepoint 2.0 site to sharepoint 3.0. But this site has a custom template. I followed the steps described in Upgrade_Toolkit_for_Windows_SharePoint_Services_Sites_and_Templates.msi available on Microsoft downloads. But i think the site definitions and/or the upgrade file that I create to upgrade sharepoint is not correct. If someone know how do create these files, i can send you my site definition and upgrade file to verify what is wrong... Or if someone has any guide to create these files i would love it... I search in Microsoft sites and all I found was very superficial, and didn't help me. Thanks for any help. BBSK

Hi, Looking the upgrade log file I discover that Sharepoint cannot access my custom site definition file. The mesage is: [SPWebTemplateSequence] [DEBUG] [26/4/2007 18:21:06]: Loading onet.xml at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions \12\Template\SiteTemplates\My Custom Template\xml\onet.xml [SPWebTemplateSequence] [WARNING] [26/4/2007 18:21:06]: Template My Custom Template#0: Failed to find onet.xml for 'My Custom Template#0' template: tried 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\SiteTemplates\My Custom Template\xml \onet.xml'. [SPWebTemplateSequence] [WARNING] [26/4/2007 18:21:06]: Template My Custom Template#0: Failed to determine the target template version for the 'My Custom Template#0' template, assuming '0.0.0.0'. The onet.xml is in this folder. I donĀ“t know why SharePoint couldn't find it. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. |
