They will drink less for a short while. Once they have internalized the increase, it won't matter to them, anymore. When Massachusetts implemented the $0.05 per container deposit for carbonated beverages prices per can went up at the same time, by $0.20-0.40 in addition to the deposit. Sales fell dramatically for a few weeks. Then the manufacturers started reaping the windfall from their price increases. > And they wonder why I want to blow things up!
