I am a bit confused as when I get the notice that there is an update ready to install (KB973768) and I click on the link for 'more information', it takes me to a page refering to Microsoft Security Bulletin MS09-037 (Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Active Template Library (ATL) Could Allow Remote Code Execution (973908)). There is often more than one update - for different products, or different versions of products, affected by the same issue - associated with a single security bulletin, and these updates may have different KB numbers. So there isn't a 1:1 relationship between security bulletin numbers and update numbers. I suggest you phone Microsoft for assistance with the problem you are having installing the update. if you try to download manuallly the update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=46aa443c-4e7b-4bd5-8b4e-0068c3dc0e79&displaylang=en you'll get an error about the language files. Could be this the issue?? I got Portuguese version of MCE 2002 and there is no KB973768 in Portuguese!
