Yes. By the way, it always helps to give some information, like release level, distribution,..... when asking for help. Sounds like you might want to play with one of the Path settings in the kde control center. Look around under Personal, About Me. You might want to consider creating a test account, say, junk. Log into junk and right, middle, left click on everything and play around a bit.
