From: godo on 7 Dec 2009 11:10 Hi folks, does anybody have problem with 2.6.31-1-686 and eth0 (Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5906M)? I have up to date Sid on Lenovo ideapad S10e and approximately every 20 min. eth0 break's and little Tux from kerneloops.org notice me that he will sent message about kernel problem. WiFi works without any problem. By, Goran Dobosevic -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST(a)lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmaster(a)lists.debian.org

Making a search on Internet, the first reference is bug #527209 in Red Hat bugzilla. I recommend to you that you read the complete report. They mention the following workaround: # ethtool -K eth0 sg off Also they give a patch to correct the problem. If it is a kernel compiled with the source of kernel.org, it is necessary to see if there is a patch or a new version of the kernel that solves this problem. I hope this helps you. I think that I will wait for Debian patch. Thank you for your help, I'm really thankful.
