From: Ian McCall on 9 Apr 2010 16:21 I've forgotten my Skype password. I rarely use Skype, but had reason to tonight and wanted to log in on my phone as well as the Mac. Fine, go to Keychain to retrieve the password. Click the 'show password' check box, type in the login keychain password and...hmm. The box immediately unchecks itself and no password appears. This is the only password for which this behaviour is occurring - all others are fine. Obviously I could just reset my Skype account's password but I'm curious now as to what's going on. Any ideas? Cheers, Ian

No, but I can confirm this is normal for Skype - my ex-boss had exactly the same problem, but his was exacerbated by Skype being set to an old (ISP specific) email address so that he couldn't even respond to the password reset confirmation email... He eventually remembered it, thankfully. There was no mechanism that Skype would employ to let him get his password reset any other way, even though he was on a pay-for account type.
