Thanks! I like Komposer for editing pre-existing downloaded websites,
but it's frustrating to use it for website creation because of the way
it screws up the code line breaks and the way it "clean the code" and
introduces changes that you don't want.

To be fair, there might be a setting in Options which will stop this
behavior and which I might have overlooked.

'Retain original source formatting' is the default in this version.

Dunno, never done that for me in previous versions.

I wouldn't use this for creation. I code by hand and just use this to
visualise tables and div's, which it does well, and saves me buying a copy
of Dreamweaver.

This version seems snappier and way less buggy so far.

Yep, that's what I've had set in the options as long as I am aware of too.

Maybe John's thinking of Nvu? Nvu was notorious for this. One of the
reasons Kaze (the developer) forked NVu into KompoZer was to correct
this "feature."
