From: Jessica on 25 Apr 2010 02:53 Hi, I write to ask if somebody know about a tutorial or something for Linear prediction with audio aplications. I have read that I can get coefficients, and with that I can predict the signal, I have even done some examples in MATLAB, with function lpc, but I still don't get the idea. In the books or online material I can only get information about what LPC is, and the formulation to get the coefficientes, wich is fine, but I don't know how to relate it to the audio signal, even much less how to relate it with speech coding and recognition. I have to say that I have some knowledge in signal processing and even with audio, but there is so much information on the internet (so much garbage), that I ask if someone can help showing some really interesting links or books names or article names so I can be able to relate lpc theory to speechs aplications. Note: It ill be great if there are examples in MATLAB. Note 2: Unfortunally, to learn I'm very visual, Sadly I need to see graphs or thins to get things figured out. So this kind onf information it would be better. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day.
