From: dermotk on 10 Feb 2010 14:32 when i logged on to my system today,10 updates were ready to be installed clicked on the tray to install,system informed me all 10 had failed on checking the update filed the was 0x80070005,please advise how to overcome this problem

Security software that *interferes* with the detection, download, and installation of Security updates for an Operating System is absurd. The Zone Alarm and Comodo firewalls are both known to cause such issues. The native Windows firewall in conjunction with a hardware firewall found in a wired or wireless router provide sufficient protection for the *vast* majority of Home Users.
