I have two figures that are linked using linkaxes and would like to explore points in both figures using datatips. How would I go about linking datatips so that as I inspect a point in one figure, the value of the corresponding point in the other would also be displayed?

I've been trying to do that myself, and I've posted questions here accordingly, but nobody seems to know.

I figure there ought to be a way of doing it using linkprop(). However, I can't find the relevant figure property that controls the data tip, nor can I find documentation on the figure properties that linkprop supports....
