From: Lord Eldritch on 28 Apr 2010 21:14 We have here a Seagate Blackarmor (440 I think). It is scalable from 1 to 4 disk topping ~8Tb (~5Tb with RAID 5 having 1 spare disk). It has 2 ethernet ports that can be aggregated/bound/trunked. We use it through NFS, but Samba/CIFS, FTP or Web access is also possible. One problem we see is that it uses their own filesystem an it does not store files ownership. -- Lord Eldritch

While HP spends obscene amounts of money on supporting Linux (sponsoring hardware and server housing, paying people to work on Linux), Linux support for their servers is marginal at its best. I am very happy that Linux works without support on their servers. Greetings Marc -- -------------------------------------- !!
