From: Retdean on 15 Mar 2010 11:56 Sorry to ask again, but I am not absolutely sure I posted this original request properly. When I save some Word documents I see a little red X surrounded by a circle to the left of the animated green 'saving' indicator bar at the bottom of the screen. What the heck does that mean? The red X does not seem to be any more than a warning or something that provides information. I can't find any mention of this red X in any of my help books. How can I get rid of the red X--it makes me nervous. Thanks for any help.
From: Yves Dhondt on 16 Mar 2010 03:53 It's a cancel button for the save operation. I'm guessing Word creates a new file during the saving process and in a last step replaces the old file with the new one. If you are able to press the button before that last step occurs, you can cancel the save operation.
