From: Murray *ACE* on 25 Mar 2007 07:57 Well, even that sounds wrong. If you have set up your testing server properly, all of that required folder information should be in the URL prefix. In other words, when you preview the page, the address should automatically be - //localhost:8500/testingserverrootfoldername/yourfilename.cfm Right? -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Katsuey" <katsuey(a)NOICEkatsuey.com> wrote in message news:eu4gvc$nlc$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... >> That sure sounds wrong to me.... > > Right as always Murray. From: Murray *ACE* on 25 Mar 2007 07:57 This can only mean that your testing server is not properly defined. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Bloke" <webforumsuser(a)macromedia.com> wrote in message news:eu4ho3$oib$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > Yes viewing it in a browser works. What you have above is what I originally put (wwwroot being the testing server folder name). But instead you use the site folder and file name

It's how mine works. The information you put into the URL prefix field is what is always used *before* the filename in the browser address field when you preview a file. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "Katsuey" <katsuey(a)NOICEkatsuey.com> wrote in message news:eu5tor$eeb$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... >> //localhost:8500/testingserverrootfoldername/yourfilename.cfm >> >> Right? > > Not how mine works.
