From: Bill on 13 Nov 2009 09:57 I recently had HD problem that resulted in the tech having to transfer all my files to a new HD. Somewhere in the interim, whatever settings I had made to eliminate the log-on screen with password, has been lost and I can't seem to get rid of it! I've tried using several methods, but all have been unsuccessful. I'm the only one at this computer, so I don't need a log-on and PW. Help, please! Bill

From: Bill on 13 Nov 2009 12:05 Thanks for your reply, but I already have TweakUiXP and under the Logon>Autologon, checked the "Log on automatically at system startup", entered my "User name", set my password, but I'm still getting the same annoying window(s) at startup. Suggestions? From: Bill on 13 Nov 2009 15:44 There be an underlying problem here! When I open control userpasswords2 window, under the "Users" button, there are two names: "Administrator" and "Bill". These must have been set by the tech that installed the new HD. In my particular case, I am BOTH the "Administrator" and "Bill". I'm currently using "Bill". I don't seem to find anyplace where it recognizes that essentially I'm one and the same! Could this be the source of the problem?
