From: Alon Gendel on 3 Oct 2009 12:45 Hello All, I am a veteran SAS user, as well as the "owner and curator" of "The World's First MicroVAX II Museum". The museum is built like a computer room from the late 80's, and it is my humble contribution to the preservation of computer history (http://www.microvax2.org). For over 5 years now I am looking for a SAS distribution to run on one of my MicroVAX II's. It must be from the 1980's, probably version 5.18 or 6.08. If you work or study in a large institution there is a slight chance someone kept old SAS distribution tapes tucked away somewhere. They may be TK50 Compactapes or 9-track magnetic tapes. I know I would need a license, but first things first - I still don't even have a distribution to install. SAS headquarters and several regional offices I have contacted could not offer any help. No commercial interest here - just preservation of a little bit of computing history. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks, -Alon.
