It would be useful to know then, what you're missing in DiskView. IMHO, DiskView shows *exactly* what you asked for. Did you look at <Help><Legend> for an explanation of the colors? And did you notice the zoom spin-buttons? You may need to hit zoom upwards a couple of times to see the "individual cluster" squares. (DiskView defaults to overview display mode.) Besides, you can locate individual files by selecting them in the <Highlight> dialog (resp. edit field). And you can retrieve cluster numbers for files or free space by double clicking inside the view. What else do you want from this kind of program? - I'm really curious, now... ;-) BeAr -- =========================================================================== = What do you mean with: "Perfection is always an illusion"? = ===============================================================--(Oops!)===

Why bother, if the zip does the > same and is half the size ? For me, the SysInternals "Live" functionality is just a bunch of links leading directly to the executables. - Nice for off-site support (esp. to help people who barely manage to switch on a computer; over a phone line and without access to remote desktop or the like). The Live links work, regardless of whether scripting is enabled or not. K-Meleon (other Mozilla engine based browsers show the same behavior) does not permit direct execution of *.exe files from the Net, though. I'm fine with this, because I wouldn't use direct-execution, anyway. And - as you said - in this case the *.zip download is the natural way to go. Diskview is exactly what I needed. When i first used it I didn't notice the Zoom button. This give a great picture of files positioned on the disk
