Sound logical David, a bit of work mind you. I'ed have to run the scanner from a CD, boot from the CD and scan. Hmmm... I know Avira has a rescue CD, don't know if it will scan the dos box, should. -- K Klement Enhance your marketing at http://www.gypsy-designs.com mailto:info(a)gypsy-designs.com Gypsy Designs Fax: (403) 242-3221 .... No. What I am saying is don't have the DOS wkstn on a LAN. Don't insert *any* media into the DOS wkstn that hasn't FIRST been scanned on a Windows platform that has an up-2-date AV application. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp

Once you know the DOS wkstn is clean, you ONLY have to scan the files going INTO the DOS wkstan. All DOS viruses are WELL KNOWN. There are no new ones. If the DOS wkstn is NOT connected to a LAN then the ONLY ingress is via storage media that you scan PRIOR to bringing to the DOS wkstn. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp |
