From: Michael T. Davis on 30 Apr 2007 10:30 I have a couple clients running Eudora v7.1.0.9 under Windows XP Pro SP2 against our IMAP server. From time to time, Eudora will get into some odd state whereby it loops over and over between tasks of "Saving" and "Updating status." Both tasks have a "Status" of "Waiting in the task queue to be started..." They also only appear when nothing else is happening on the system (e.g. no mouse or keyboard input). I've had varying degrees of success (mostly poor) at resolving the issue and I really can't figure out anything else to try. The best I've been able to come up with is to delete the actionqueue.dat file in the local IMAP cache folder when Eudora isn't running, but this doesn't always work. How can I rid the system of these tasks permanently? FWIW, Eudora is running in paid mode. Thanks, Mike -- | Systems Specialist: CBE,MSE Michael T. From: Gloops on 3 May 2007 09:33 Hello, Sorry if this sounds out of subject, when beginning using IMAP accounts, I had an "answer time" problem : it took not far from one minute until the software began to be able to download the mails -I never had that problem with pop accounts. It was already better when updating Eudora to 7.1.0.9 (Thunderbird runs rather better on this point, but also took a few seconds more than with the pop accounts). I notice that since I changed my access provider, I do not have this problem any more. Does the new one keep the connection active with the server, I ignore, but my IMAP connections are as quick as the POP ones. Hoping this can help some way to understand ... although you seem to speak about a much longer time ... _______________________________________________ Michael T.
