Be careful; your distro may have integrated Lynx into some of its own
peculiar stuff, and changing things at root level could have unexpected
effects on the system. That's part of why I haven't done much to Lynx on
this Mandriva system.

Using a personal config file and/or launching with a long command (or
script) would be safer.

The point of the exercise is to make sure the damn thing doesn't have a
list of possible security holes wide open, especially if something
unexpected calls it up.
