Hello all hope your Christmas was great, mine not so much. I am having a
problem with my SBS2003 server. Have resently installed Panda security on the
server and now getting an error about the tcpsvcs.exe failing. I have
uninstalled Panda and the error continues. This leaves employees unable to
access network resources. I have the error reports that are sent to Microsoft
if those would help. This has been going on since Wednesday the 23rd. was
working fine on older ver. of Panda.
Thanks in advance.

The DHCP service generates a random access violation in the Tcpsvcs.exe
service on a Windows Server 2003-based computer

Run a scan with the SBS 2003 BPA:

Your server should be at SBS 2003 SP1 with Windows 2003 SP2 installed.

Install Windows 2003 SP2 (and SBS 2003 SP1, if not already installed) to see
if this fixes the problem. After installing Windows 2003 SP2, run another
scan with the SBS 2003 BPA and clean up any problems it finds.

Merv thank you for the response. I will take a look at your suggestions and
attempt to use them. I am hoping that the server will stay together while I
run the BPA. I am now getting the "blue screen of death" and a reboot. I am
geeting worried that there is something else wrong. Again thanks.

What is the exact text of error message that you are getting with respect to
tcpsvcs.exe?
What is the blue screen error message?

Here is the error message from the tcpsvcs.exe error:
the instructions at "0x00000103" reference memory at "0x00000103". the
memory could not be "Read".

I don't have the blue screen message but will probably have it soon as the
system keeps giving it to me.
