I half enjoyed the game but didnt enjoy the servers (flakey, crowded, full of PvPers and griefers, no help, no real "wilderness" to build a house on). Anyway now there are over 300 free servers run by players so anything people liked or didnt like seems to have a complete server that agrees with you (pvp, non-pvp, crowd, quiet, run by teens, run by adults, standard UO, creatively modified, etc etc etc) Gandalf Parker

There is a 10-day free trial. http://www.nexustk.com/ I think it started back in 1996 and AFAIK was the first to incorporate horses as transport, crafting etc before any of the mainstream MMORPG (eg UO) did. And I have not been playing it for years so I really cannot comment on how it is like now.
