From: Boris on 21 Jul 2010 11:25 I've got an MP620, and have it connected wirelessly to my DLink router. I print from three different wifi laptops, and it works great. My home network is named codered. The DLink router can operate both wirelessly and also has 4 Ethernet ports. I have a desktop connected with an Ethernet cable to the DLink router. This desktop does not have a wifi capabilities, and the MP620 drive/software has not been installed on it. I would like to be able to send print jobs from the desktop via the Ethernet cable to the router (the codered network), and have the router then relay the print job wirelessly to the MP620 which is in another room. My question is, since the MP620 is already set up in it's control panel to work wirelessly, with my three wifi laptops over my codered home network, will it be able to also receive print jobs from my desktop, in the way mentioned in the above paragraph? I've read the setup instructions many times, and I don't know if this is possible. If it is, I also don't know if when setting up the desktop, do I set it up as wireless, or as wired (but not via USB) since it is wired to the router.

If your router is anything like my TP_link there is no distinction between the wired and wireless connections and they will interwork happily. I have a laptop connected wirelessly and various computers and a printer Ethernet wired. All the connected computers including the laptop print to the Ethernet connected printer. I have not tried printing with a printer connected to another machine. I have separate accounts for e-mail on the laptop and the other computers on a single broadband connection. The only problem I have ever had is that very rarely the printer is locked to my wired Desktop PC - I don't understand this by the way.
