From: Raajit L on 8 Apr 2008 10:40 Hi, It seems like you have tried a lot of things. Could you tell us what kind of computer is this? Have you seen this behavior on multiple machines, or does this behavior occur only on this computer? Have you tried to change the configuration settings as well?<img src="http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/b9107a7f281f9b408625720b0078e5a8/$FILE/services.JPG"> When you restart your computer, does the configuration manager stop automatically? Thanks,
From: JessicaM on 8 Apr 2008 12:10 I'm also working with tech support and R&D on this, but they have not mentioned the configuration manager. I have determined that I can successfully start MAX only when I am connected to my office network. When I am away from the network, I get the error. All the other things I had tried before (re-installing drivers, recovering the data folder, etc) were not the reason MAX worked, it was because I was re-connected to my office network at the time. I currently have MAX running as I started it upon leaving the office and don't want to close it until I can get back to the office again (I have a remote office). Currently the configuration mangaer is running. I have not tried changing any settings. What might I change? My feeling is that it is searching for something that happens to be on the network. Since I am not connected, it can't find it, and doesn't start.
