Since Nuance bought MacSpeech back in February, there has
been a noticeable lack of activity in the MacSpeech forum.

Apparently everyone there is waiting to see what Nuance
is going to do with MacSpeech, now that they own it.

So far, Nuance is not doing anything, one way or the other.

What will become of MacSpeech in the future is anyone's guess.

The present version of MacSpeech Dictate 1.5.8 is now
being sold by both Nuance and MacSpeech.

It is not too shabby. For example, I can dictate 600 words
of highly technical medical stuff and get by with no errors,
or at the most one error.

Any Mac user can not expect such accuracy however, until
he/she wades through the rather stiff learning curve.

That said, MacSpeech is a _LOT_ easier to learn than
Dragon, even though Dragon is the more superior product.

MacSpeech Dictate has a few annoying bugs, plus the editing
features for correcting mistakes are skimpy, compared to
the polished "Dragon NaturallySpeaking" app' that Windows
users enjoy.
