I've been using MacSoup for the last few days and so far it's been a
real pleasure to use. It was straightforward to set up and it's suitably
snappy when reading the posts. I'll give it another couple of days and
then register.

One query though: I can tag all of the posts in a thread for reading by
hitting return, but that then also selects the last post in the thread -
how do select the first unread post in thread without using the cursor?

Thanks.

Are you sure?

When I hit Return in an article list, it tags all the articles in that
thread, and then moves onto the next thread. Hitting Space will open the
first tagged article.

No, you are exactly right - i didn't look properly and then
misunderstood what was happening. Good now, thanks.

The graphical thread display is really good isn't it. I'm wondering why
I didn't try MacSoup ages ago.

It has a reputation of being a bit of an acquired taste.

Yes, based on some comments I'd read I'd formed the impression that it
could be a bit fiddly to set up and the interface was not particularly
friendly. But based on use so far I'm very happy with it.
