From: ~~Alan~~ on 6 Feb 2010 09:59 While supporting a user on her new Dell laptop running Windows 7, I noticed two things, a Macintosh style application launch toolbar and a desktop background similar to what is seen if you mouse over to the Show Desktop in the lower right of the screen. I recently acquired in a raffle, a Vostro 220 that I quickly installed Windows 7 as a clean install from Vista. Where can I find these two items if you know what I'm talking about. Thanks, ~alan
From: William R. Walsh on 6 Feb 2010 10:21 Hi! The application launcher is very likely to be a product of StarDock, known as ObjectDock. (WARNING: I don't know how reputable StarDock.com is, nor have I ever used their software directly. I've only seen it in use from time to time. You would do well to examine the software thoroughly to be sure it is something you want to use. There, you've been warned.) As far as the desktop goes, someone could have always borrowed a desktop background from the Macintosh. They're not in any special Macintosh specific format. I've used Windows-provided wallpaper on the Mac and Mac OS-provided wallpaper on Windows. (Therefore, at least in theory, the two have cancelled each other out, resulting in no wallpaper at all being in use.) William
From: ~~Alan~~ on 6 Feb 2010 10:33 This is the default wallpaper with a dell computer. ~alan "William R.
