Many people have no problems with cables or at least less problems than with batteries. I never had a reason to get a wireless mouse or keyboard (although there surely are reasons for that). Anyway, it's still a nice trackpad. The major reason I hardly ever use an external keyboard with my MB is that then I would have to use a mouse and I'm just too used to the trackpad now. But I have a wired keyboard and plugging it in and pairing the trackpad to the MB seems a bit too much effort for what is essentially the same keyboard and trackpad as on the MB anyway. If I could just keep the trackpad plugged into the keyboard though... When you press down on the trackpad surface, the feet 'click', giving you the same tactile sensation as you get with Apple's current MacBook trackpads. Very clever, and a welcome Apple touch—no pun intended—for those who hate touch-tapping." Interesting, but I wonder what long-term usage will do for false-positive clicks? I bought a wee USB AA and AAA battery charger from, I think, Tesco. Seems to do me fine and it's very convenient. Well, wireless mice, yes, mice have to move, trackpads dont. A choice would be nice > Anyway, it's still a nice trackpad. But too expensive to just get it untested. -- Woody www.alienrat.com |
